Playing With Fire
I've just been watching the live streaming of the Embra Festival fireworks show on t'internet. Nice pictures but I couldn't hear the music for the racket going on outside, you'd think someone was having a fireworks show or something. Oh. Right.
According to the blurb, they were supposed to be trialling silent fireworks this year - WTF is that all about? Half the point of any good fireworks show is seeing how many car alarms you can set off with the explosions. Well, maybe they did use them, but I live five miles from Embra Castle and I could hear the odd thud even from here.
Anyway, for those of you who missed it, here's a firework.
And remember kids, don't try this at home!

"Silent" fireworks take half the fun out! My favorites are always the "cannons" that make your heart half stop.
I ran all the way down to Princes Street to beat the crap out of the cameraman who kept giving us close ups of the same three fiddle players while you could hear the fireworks going off! Gits.
Shame, no-one thought to tell me it was a delayed transmission.
Marie - Wrong, but funny.
Giggle - Turns out there were silent fireworks, but only for the quiet bits of music.
Oh, LOOKY!
Honey - Not always.
#Debi - You'd have loved it.
Mr H - It was a live transmission on t'internet. They put it on t'telly an hour later. But you're right - the band is there to provide the music, the fireworks are to watch. Grr!
I watched the last night of the Tattoo - ha! that'll show those Chinese we Brits can do it just as good! Roll on Glasgow 2014.
Daffers - Glasgow. Commonwealth Games. FSM save us!
