Farty's Fortunes

Wailing and Weeping

Jings, crivvens and, indeed, help ma boab! Ma bairn has gone far, far awa'. The noo.

Yes, Little Miss Farty and her fiancé have, despite the global credit crunch, managed to scrape together (with a little help) enough to put down the deposit on a flat. It's not much, but at least it's a place that they can call their own.

Hovel

Mrs Farty and I were totally distraught at the realisation that our youngest child has finally left the nest for good.

Hang out the flags

I'm off to the DIY store in the morning to get the necessary materials. Just in case.

Inconsolable

Sob!

Oh Mr. Farty (and the Missus, too) so sad to hear of your woes....but...in case you start to miss the sounds of small ones, do let me know...I have 2 (ages 10 and almost 6) that I'd be more than glad to 'loan' to you....it could be a bit of a homestay for them. it's a win-win situation...they need the English (the accent we'll work on later) and you need the young'uns around....for just a bit...they're hard workers too!
let me know!

LOL. You know, even though Emma is only 4 Peter and I are already talking about what we are going to do when she is finally out of the house. :-)

LOL! Max just turned 5... must I really wait a whole 13 years? Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll end up in juvenile hall.

Hey Mr Farty, I arrived via dumdad and then JohnG. Your Mr Farty photo just blew me away! I used the same photo on my blog a few weeks ago and thought anyone who googles "fart images" has to be cool! Don't forget to change the locks and get a decent alarm system, she well may try to get back in to chateau farty when she realises there's a windy corner in her new flat too. Debs x

Debbie-san - Nah, you're all right (meaning no thanks), the nice things about little 'uns now is that we get to hand them back at the end of the day.

Brom - We noticed the lack of washing up and ironing last night. And the SPACE!!! Wow!

Jacki - Enjoy it while they're young.

Marie - What can of worms have I opened here?

Yet Another Debbie - Hello, any friend of Zoe and her twat is welcome here. I've never been commented on by a real quorn star before. *swoons*

Maybe we'll just flit.

Yes, it is always sad when your young fly the nest. I have daughters in four continents, but retain a large pair of twins at home. They show no signs of wanting to leave, even though one is enormous and the other enormously rich. Greetings from the Thames Valley!
