I wasn't the biggest Michael Jackson fan, but there's a memory of my childhood that I love: saturday afternoons watching the Jackson Five cartoons on the TV. And the song 'ABC'. He was cute as a little boy.

A musical genius, but a wanker!

The back of my head can be seen in Michael Jackson's Moonwalker movie/video thing. My role in it was to "pretend to be grabbing at his legs while he performed onstage." Which was just as Totally Completely Interesting as it sounds. But I did get to play with his monkey Bubbles afterward. And no, that is not a euphemism.

Part of me has always felt sorry for Wacko Jacko. Obviously something was VERY VERY VERY amiss during his childhood.

He was a talented singer. Although I've often wondered if Joe did a little "something" before puberty to keep his voice so girlishly high. Which would certainly excuse quite a lot of the eccentricity - although not all.

OTOH, I am enjoying the really tasteless jokes.

Sew - To address all of your points: Who thought it would be a good idea to put his kids in the care of the people who raised MJ?
