So we finally got some snow this week and I was quick enough to get out there with the, er, camera phone, sorry, and get these snaps just a few minutes' walk from Embra's city centre. Enjoy.
I tried to comment on this last night, but I was stuck in the town of Truckee in the Sierra Nevada Mountains because I went up there for a meeting and they closed Interstate 80 due to accidents and snow and the only internet access I had was my BlackBerry, because, even though the motel I stayed in had internet access, I didn't take my computer because I wasn't supposed to be there overnight, and apparently I can read blogs (sort of), but not comment on them with it, so I couldn't comment on yours *deep breath*
Nice pictures, Mr F!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sir B!
ReplyDeleteI can never work these ones out.
ReplyDeleteVery scenic.
ReplyDeleteSnow looks nice in pictures, but I'd sooner not deal with it in reality.
Nicely done! And with a camera phone, too...
ReplyDeleteHmm, looks like the botanical gardens... Tres posh!
ReplyDeleteSnow-- my Grandma tells stories about it.
ReplyDeleteGaw-geous.
ReplyDeleteNicely photo-shopped!
ReplyDeleteThere's a UFO in the last one!
ReplyDeleteI've always suspected the governement had been lying to us all along.
IBM - You need to sort of uncross your eyes and stand on your head...
ReplyDeleteLiz - I love the reality of snow. Especially the après-ski.
#Debi - And you can hardly see where I painted out the path and the second lantern.
Taffeta - Got it in one! Glad you made it back in one piece, I was getting worried there.
Laura - Snow is soft and fluffy and warm like cotton wool. And it tastes like cotton candy. Yum!
BOSSY - Aw, fanx! *blushes*
John - You noticed? Well done that man!
Ché - I forgot to paint out the lampshade on the second lantern. So sue me.

ReplyDeleteNice photos! Very Artsy Fartsy.
I can't stand on my head. Could you do it for me? And I've only got one eye.
ReplyDelete'So sue me' Is this another blog of yours Farty?

ReplyDeleteA lamp post in the middle of nowhere? I didn't realise Embra was in Narnia.
ReplyDeleteLaurie - I can't comment on Blogger from my moby either. It's far more frustrating than being snowed in. I expect.
ReplyDeleteIBM - Never heard of him.
Sew - Embra is the prettiest place in the world. I'd like to live there.
Jacki - Me too.
Z - We even have our own lion and everything, dead exciting!
Oooooh. That's masterful work with a camera phone. I'm a very intelligent woman but a big freaking 'tard with a camera. DAMMIT.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place you live in.
Lesley - Half the skill lies in taking hundreds of photos and discarding the 99% that are crap.
ReplyDeleteThe other half is PaintShopPro.
It's nice that you're able to get (pictures of) so much wood in such cold weather.
ReplyDeleteBC - Did you mean I Got Wood?
