The Appliance Of Science

A Washing Machine Yesterday

So Mrs F now has a funky new washing machine. Crikey, it's certainly got enough knobs, switches, flashing lights and shit. Still, even I have to admit the "Specials" make it worth every penny.

Specials

So. If the slapheads that design your appliances could design anything at all, what "extra features" would you look for?

  2. Coffee maker that grinds the beans, brews the coffee, pours it into the cup, adds one fake sugar, delivers it to me on the couch (along with the bagel and cream cheese). Not too much to ask, eh?

  3. P.S.: I note that your fancy washing machine does not have a setting for "put away"...

  4. Does your washing machine really fold and hang stuff??? Blimey, that is impressive.

I'd like a self cleaning house please. Someone hurry up and invent one.

  8. IBM - Special Knobs? I have no idea what you're talking about, the noo. With a ribbon on it?

    #Debi - A self-cleaning coffee-maker would be ace.

#Debi again - Putting away costs extra.

Liz - Oh, we already have a self-cleaning house. Or is it pixies? Anyway, it's always spotless when I get home from work.

Honey - Gourmet meals from scratch? That would be a microwave. If only.

Jacki - You've got me wondering now if all those brand new neatly pressed and wrapped shirts and stuff are done by hand or machine. Hmmm...

  9. I like the idea of one that drags the laundry basket down the stairs, and then humps it back up when it's all clean and folded and hung and ironed!

  12. That's a wonderful machine! If only! The angle of the letters give you away, but jolly good anyway Mr F!
