British Summer Time

So where's the summer then?

Oh, right. British Summer Time.

*Sigh*

  1. Ha! I remember British...rather Scottish....summer. We lived on RAF Edzell back in the mid-90's..and one year it snowed in May. And I distinctly remember wearing a jacket all summer except for around the first week of July. It would warm up for about a week.

  2. Jacki - Yes, ok, your Scotch credentials are genuine. I've seen it snow here in June. Twice.

John - Warming, cooling, whatever. We're doomed! Or not.

  3. Are those kites or UFOs hovering to the bottom left of the photo. Or dust on the lens, maybe?

  4. Laurie - If you click to enlarge, you can just about make out that they're seagulls.
And the green lines going from top left to mid-right are where I tried to paint out the overhead phone lines. Sigh.

  5. What program do you use to edit your photos? 'Cause Photoshop has a neat little tool called Clone Stamp where you can pick the color just next to what you want to get rid of, so the results look quite natural... Still, I might not have noticed the green lines if you hadn't mentioned them...

  6. Debi - PaintShopPro goes one better, it has scratch remover so you can do a whole (straight) line at once, picking up the colour from either side. I just didn't set the line wide enough, sigh.
